Amazon does not accept PayPal credit so what can you do is buy an Amazon gift card using PayPal Credit. Then use the Amazon gift card to make your purchase.
According to Paypal customer support there is no alternative card, such as a PayPal credit-only card, that can be linked to your existing PayPal credit line so Amazon would accept and process the transaction as credit, not debit.
This means your recent Amazon transaction was processed as a debit and accessed funds in your checking acct because you previously designated your checking account as the primary backup payment method for the PP Bus. Debit MC. To avoid any future surprises, you can delete all designated backup accounts for use by the PP Bus. Debit MC. So that in the future, if a merchant or Amazon doesn’t accept PayPal credit, the transaction would be declined without a backup funding source designated by you in your PayPal settings. However, PayPal does allow its credit line to be used to send money.
To use PayPal as a payment option on Amazon you can use your PayPal Cash Card or your PayPal Business Debit Mastercard.
If you’d like a PayPal debit card and have a personal account you can request a PayPal Cash Card. If you have a business account you can apply for a PayPal Business Debit Mastercard.
